Upgrade the AT&T HTC Vivid to Ice Cream Sandwich via leaked RUU

In the past few weeks we’ve seen a lot of Android 4.0 RUU (Rom Update Utility) leaks for various HTC devices. It seems that there is no telling when the RUU leaks will end, but it’s good to know that these leaks are great sources for HTC owners to get a shot at Ice Cream Sandwich without having to wait for the official ones to be released.

Owners who have an ATT HTC Vivid are in for a treat as the official Ice Cream Sandwich RUU ROM has been leaked and tested to work on the device. The RUU leak can be used to update your phone to the ICS firmware that will eventually be released by HTC in the coming months.  Don’t be surprised that there will be a huge wave of custom ROMs based on the leaked RUU ROM in the coming weeks.
