Man Shot to Death at Southland Computer Store

LANCASTER, Calif. (KTLA) — Los Angeles County Sheriff’s officials say a man was shot to death during a robbery at a computer store in Lancaster on Friday afternoon.

Deputies responded to a report of shots fired at Avenue K and 20th Street West. When they arrived they found a white male dead at the scene.

The victim was identified as 59-year-old Reed Keith. He is a father and husband, and friends say he loved helping people and was just a “good guy.”

Deputies say Keith was helping a customer when the suspect walked in. The suspect shot and killed Keith at point-blank range in front of the customer.

Homicide detectives were investigating.

The suspect was described as a black male wearing a black hoodie and black ski mask. He remains at large.
