Facebook aids in suspect’s arrest – Ogden Standard

WOODS CROSS — Facebook helped find the second man wanted in a computer store burglary, police say.

Brandon Rock Medell, 33, of Syracuse, was booked Wednesday into Davis County Jail on suspicion of burglary and criminal mischief. He is expected to be in court today.

Woods Cross Police Detective Adam Osoro said officers used Facebook to link Medell with Kaysville resident Jeremy Blair, 26, who was arrested March 9 after his father recognized him on surveillance video as one of two men wanted in the computer store burglary.

Blair turned himself in to the Davis County Sheriff’s Office.

Medell’s black Audi A4 car was involved in a high-speed chase in Tooele this week. Police were able to locate the car but not the driver. Police found Medell at his home in Syracuse, Osoro said.

Osoro said the two men drove to StarWest Computers in Woods Cross on March 5. They broke the front windows, ran inside the store and took about $6,500 in computer equipment, police say.
